Atakhan, the new neutral objective in League of Legends, joins the ranks of Epic Monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elemental Dragons. This "Bringer of Ruin" arrives as part of the Noxus Invasion for Season 1 of 2025, and uniquely, his spawn location and form are determined by in-game actions. This dynamic element adds a layer of unpredictability, forcing teams to adapt their strategies based on Atakhan's presence and the overall game state.

When & Where Will Atakhan Spawn In League Of Legends?

Atakhan's Spawn Time

Atakhan consistently spawns at the 20-minute mark, pushing Baron Nashor's spawn to the 25-minute mark.

Atakhan's Pit Location

Atakhan's Pit, the battleground, appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. Its location—either near Top Lane or Bot Lane—depends on which side accumulates more damage and kills in the early game. This six-minute window allows teams to prepare for the encounter. The Pit features two permanent small walls, intensifying the fight for control.

Which Form Of Atakhan Will Spawn & Why?

Atakhan's form is as dynamic as his location. In less action-packed games (lower champion damage and kills), Voracious Atakhan emerges. Conversely, high-action games (significant champion damage and kills) will summon Ruinous Atakhan. Beyond visual differences, their buffs significantly impact gameplay.

Voracious Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Voracious Atakhan, appearing in less intense games, offers a buff that incentivizes aggressive play:

  • Team members gain an additional 40 gold for every champion takedown (kills and assists) for the remainder of the game.
  • Each team member receives a one-time death mitigation lasting 150 seconds. Instead of dying, they enter stasis for 2 seconds before returning to base after a further 3.5 seconds. The killing enemy receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal for their team.

Ruinous Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Ruinous Atakhan, prevalent in high-action games, provides a scaling buff:

  • The team receives a 25% increase to all Epic Monster rewards (including previously slain objectives) for the rest of the game.
  • Each member receives 6 Blood Petals.
  • 6 Large and 6 small Blood Rose Plants spawn near his pit, offering additional stat boosts to those who claim them.

What Are Blood Roses & Petals In League Of Legends

Blood Roses, a new plant type, spawn near champion deaths and Atakhan's Pit, with additional spawns after Ruinous Atakhan's defeat. They grant permanent Blood Petals upon destruction:

  • 25 XP (potentially increased by up to 100% for players with low K/D/A).
  • 1 Adaptive Force (converts to AD or AP).

Two sizes exist: small roses yield 1 Blood Petal, while large roses grant 3.
