Idle RPG 'Destiny Child' to Re-debut Soon

Idle RPG

Destiny Child is returning! Initially launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, this popular title is being revived by Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.

A Fresh Start?

Com2uS and ShiftUp have partnered to create a completely new Destiny Child experience – an idle RPG. Development will be spearheaded by Com2uS's subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for titles like the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics.

This isn't just a re-release; it's a reimagining. While retaining the beloved 2D character art and the spirit of the original, Com2uS will introduce fresh gameplay mechanics.

Remember the Memorial?

Destiny Child's initial success stemmed from its charming characters and real-time battles. Following its closure after nearly seven years, ShiftUp released a memorial version.

This memorial app, while not the full game, allows players to revisit the stunning character illustrations and fondly remember their Childs. Access requires verification using previous game data, limiting access to those with pre-shutdown accounts. It's a nostalgic trip down memory lane, preserving the Childs and their classes, even without the battles. Available on the Google Play Store, it's worth checking out until the new game arrives.

That concludes our update on the return of Destiny Child. For more gaming news, check out our article on Hearthstone's "The Great Dark Beyond" and the return of the Burning Legion.
