Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Fresh Take on the Arena

Season 8 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds has arrived, bringing exciting new features, heroes, and cards! This update, following the Perils in Paradise patch, introduces significant changes for seasoned players and newcomers alike.

The Big News: Trinkets!

The core gameplay shift is the introduction of Trinkets. Fifty-six Lesser Trinkets and sixty Greater Trinkets are available, with the possibility of receiving duplicates. These power-ups are offered on turns 6 and 9, presenting four choices each time. Crucially, Trinket availability is tailored to your chosen hero and your current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.), ensuring diverse strategic options.

Meet Marin the Manager!

A brand-new hero joins the fray: Marin the Manager. His unique ability allows you to acquire a Trinket a turn earlier than usual, providing a significant strategic advantage. See Marin in action here!

Roster Changes and New Additions

Season 8 also features a minion refresh. Forty-one minions are rotated out, replaced by twenty-two returning favorites and twenty-seven entirely new minions. Two fresh Tavern spells further enhance the strategic depth.

Four new cards add to the mix:

Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

The Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn fourteen total packs, including rewards from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop.
