In the meantime, let's take a fun trip down memory lane and rank all the Rockstar games we've enjoyed over the years.
Rockstar has been crafting gaming experiences since 1998, bringing us over 30 titles including iconic series like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Manhunt. But which of these gems shines the brightest? Note that you won't find games like LA Noire or Max Payne 2 on this list, as we're focusing solely on games developed by Rockstar, not those they've published. I've created a personal tier list based on my enjoyment over the years, which you can explore below:
Red Dead Redemption 2 easily clinches the top spot in my S-tier; it's not just a Rockstar favorite, but my all-time favorite game. It's joined by its predecessor and the groundbreaking GTA 5, both of which have set the standard for cinematic open-world gaming. I've also placed Max Payne 3 and GTA San Andreas in this elite category, the latter of which I played far too young! On the other end of the spectrum, in the D-tier, we find games like Austin Powers: Oh, Behave! and Welcome to My Underground Lair!, which, let's face it, are not exactly crowd-pleasers.
