After over two years, Grand Theft Auto V on PC is finally getting a major update, bringing it largely in line with the console versions. Mark your calendars: March 4th is the day! This update incorporates features from the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in 2022. Best of all, it's a free upgrade for all current players, with seamless transfer of progress in both GTA Online and Story Mode – no extra steps required.
The most significant changes arrive in GTA Online, with a massive influx of content previously unavailable to PC players. The GTA+ subscription service will also launch on PC, offering benefits like significantly accelerated business profit collection. Rockstar Games has also bolstered anti-cheat measures for a fairer playing experience.

Expect noticeable graphical improvements with this update, but be aware that the increased visual fidelity comes with raised system requirements. Players with less powerful hardware can still enjoy the older version; Rockstar will continue supporting it. However, cross-version play won't be supported, meaning players on different versions of the game won't be able to play together.
