Google Play Store Might Soon Auto-Launch Installed Apps For You

Ever download an app and then promptly forget about it? Google Play Store might have the answer. A new feature, reportedly in development, will automatically launch apps upon installation.

The Details

Android Authority reports Google Play is developing a feature to streamline app installation. This potential addition would automatically open newly downloaded apps, eliminating the need to hunt for the icon. This feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," is currently based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19 and isn't officially confirmed.

The good news? It'll be entirely optional. Users can enable or disable auto-launch as desired.

How it Might Work

Upon download completion, a notification banner will appear for approximately 5 seconds. Your phone may also vibrate or ring, ensuring you won't miss it.

Important Note: This information is unofficial, and a release date remains unknown. We'll update you as soon as Google provides official details.
