Fortnite: Unlock All Oni Masks

Fortnite Hunters amps up the action with a host of exciting updates! This season boasts a Battle Pass brimming with Japanese mythology-inspired skins, powerful weapons, and exciting new items. Among the most thrilling additions are the Oni Masks, unique items granting mystical abilities perfect for offense or defense. These include the Fire Oni Mask and the Void Oni Mask, both designed to give you a significant advantage in your quest for a Victory Royale.

Updated January 14, 2025, by Nathan Round: While obtaining Oni Masks often involves a bit of luck, there are now two guaranteed methods to acquire them. This guide has been updated to include purchasing Oni Masks from Daigo and a reliable location providing both masks for free.

All Oni Masks & How To Use Them

Void Oni Mask

The Void Oni Mask is a top choice for its exceptional mobility. Use the Shoot Button to throw a Void Tear, then use the Aim Button while the mask is equipped to teleport to its location. The Epic variant has 15 uses with a 5-second cooldown; the Mythic variant boasts 50 uses.

Fire Oni Mask

The Fire Oni Mask excels at dealing damage. Press the Fire Button to launch a guided flame projectile inflicting 100 damage. It can even hit multiple clustered enemies at once. The Epic version has 8 uses with an 8-second cooldown; the Mythic version offers 16 uses.

How To Get Oni Masks in Fortnite

Searching Elemental Chests

The easiest way to get Oni Masks is by looting Elemental Chests. These chests guarantee an elemental item, including Oni Masks and Boons. Both Void and Fire Oni Masks can drop, but it requires some luck. Named POIs offer the best chances of finding them.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Defeating Demon Warriors, marked by Oni Mask icons on the map, can also yield Oni Masks. While not guaranteed, they can drop either a Void or Fire Oni Mask (depending on which they wield), along with Typhoon Blades and possibly a Boon.

Searching Chests

Standard chests offer a (low) chance of dropping Epic-rarity Void and Fire Oni Masks. This method relies heavily on luck.

Purchase From Daigo

For a guaranteed acquisition, purchase the masks from Daigo at Masked Meadows using Gold Bars. You'll need to complete all stages of his Mask Expertise Quests to unlock this option.

Loot From Daigon's Hidden Workshop

Skip the quests and head to Daigo's hidden workshop (below the building on the north side of Masked Meadows). A machine there contains both masks, lootable like a regular chest.

Defeating Bosses (Mythic Oni Masks Only)

To obtain Mythic Oni Masks, defeat Night Rose (for the Mythic Void Oni Mask) at Demon's Dojo or Shogun X (for the Mythic Fire Oni Mask) at Shogun's Arena. These function like their Epic counterparts but have more uses.
