Remedy's Control Universe FPS Firebreak Release Date Set

Remedy has confirmed FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025.

Set in the Control universe, FBC: Firebreak delivers a cooperative PvE multiplayer experience with replayable Jobs—dynamic missions featuring unique challenges, objectives, and environments that demand strategic teamwork.

The game will debut on PC (Steam/Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 for $39.99. It will also be included in PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra/Premium) upon release, marking Remedy's debut as a self-publisher.

Additionally, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition ($49.99), offering exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Base game owners can upgrade for $10.

FBC: Firebreak introduces Requisitions—an earnable system providing permanent in-game gear/cosmetics through gameplay. All items remain perpetually available without time-limited rotations. Optional Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetics (voice packs, armor sets) via direct purchase, with no gameplay advantages.

Remedy plans post-launch support with two free Jobs in 2025 and additional 2026 updates. All gameplay content remains free, with optional cosmetic purchases adhering to the studio's anti-FOMO philosophy—no daily logins or time-exclusive items.

The announcement comes during a productive period for Remedy, who are concurrently developing Control 2 and the Max Payne 1-2 remake bundle alongside FBC: Firebreak.
