Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, launching May 30th!
Ahmed Alameen, writer and filmmaker, is releasing his debut point-and-click adventure game, My Father Lied. This solo-developed narrative-driven puzzler draws inspiration from Mesopotamian history.
Play as Huda, a young woman investigating her father's vanishing act twenty years after the event. Her quest begins with the shocking revelation of an unknown brother.
Originally a collaborative project, Alameen took the reins after his team dissolved, mastering game design to complete his vision.
Gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics: explore stunning environments, piece together images, crack codes, and more. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and H.P. Lovecraft's literary style as influences.
Alameen's creative approach to visuals utilizes a blend of 2D and 360-degree images, including hand-crafted cutscenes. This technique ensures high-quality graphics even on less powerful PCs.
My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam (add to your wishlist now!). Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. Stay updated on Lunar Games' X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram accounts. Plus, an upcoming Kickstarter campaign is on the horizon!
