Farewell, Tapped Out: Beloved Simpsons Game to End Service

EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is officially being discontinued. After a twelve-year run, the game, initially launched in 2012 on the App Store and 2013 on Google Play, will be sunsetted.

The Shutdown Timeline:

In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. However, existing players can continue playing until January 24th, 2025, when the servers will shut down permanently. EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-long support in a recent announcement.

A Final Chance to Play?

If you've yet to experience this city-building game, now's your last chance. The Simpsons: Tapped Out lets you rebuild Springfield after Homer's disastrous nuclear meltdown. Manage iconic characters, expand your town to Springfield Heights, and even run the Kwik-E-Mart. The freemium game features frequent updates tied to the show and real-world events, fueled by in-game "donuts."
