Earth vs. Mars Announced by Company of Heroes Developer Relic Entertainment

Authore: LilyUpdate:Mar 26,2025

Relic Entertainment, the acclaimed developers behind Company of Heroes, are venturing into new territory with their upcoming turn-based strategy game, *Earth vs. Mars*. Slated for release this Summer on PC via Steam, the game introduces players to a unique defense scenario where Earth faces an invasion from Martian extraterrestrials. In *Earth vs. Mars*, players will utilize the innovative Splice-O-Tron to create hybrid creatures such as the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly, blending elements reminiscent of the beloved Nintendo DS classic, *Advance Wars*.

According to Relic, the Martian threat has been looming over Earth for decades, with aliens secretly abducting humans and animals to extract their atomic essence. Now, with a full-scale invasion underway, it falls to a diverse group of commanders to spearhead Earth's resistance. Players will take control of Earth’s military forces, battling against advanced Martian technology, including saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors, in a gripping fight for survival.

*Earth vs. Mars* promises a rich gaming experience with a comprehensive 30+ mission single-player campaign, engaging online multiplayer options where players can choose either faction, a challenging VS Mode against the game's AI, and a versatile map editor for custom gameplay.

Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are excited to bring a Relic Twist to the Advance Wars style of gameplay, infusing some Relic DNA, while harkening back to some of our earlier titles.” He further elaborated on Relic Entertainment’s new strategy, which includes developing smaller indie-style games to explore new genres, stimulate creativity, and increase the frequency of game releases. Interested gamers can already wishlist *Earth vs. Mars* on Steam.
