Dredge\'s mobile port delayed until next year but a closed beta test is planned for December

Authore: DylanUpdate:Jan 12,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a little longer for the mobile port. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

For the uninitiated, Dredge casts you as a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. Initially, your tasks are simple: catch and sell fish. But the ocean holds more than just your average catch; strange creatures, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island threaten to unravel your sanity.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received suggest it's a game well worth the wait, especially if you haven't experienced it yet.

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Porting such a vast world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for more player feedback before the official launch. This will help ensure a polished and enjoyable mobile experience.
