Developer Dream Dock has unveiled their latest project, Dreadmoor, an exciting new first-person single-player action-adventure game inspired by the 2023 hit Dredge. In Dreadmoor, players will take on the role of a fisherman navigating the treacherous waters of the post-apocalyptic Drownlands. The game promises a rich experience where you'll fish from your trawler, explore mysterious islands, battle monstrous creatures, craft essential items, and upgrade your boat to uncover the secrets that lie beneath the surface. Dreadmoor is currently in development for PC. Be sure to watch the announcement trailer and browse through the gallery of first screenshots below to get a glimpse of what's in store.
Dream Dock describes Dreadmoor as follows: "Step behind the helm of a fishing trawler and set sail into a world transformed by a global nuclear war, where continents have vanished beneath the waves, leaving behind scattered islands and the submerged ruins of ancient civilizations. Survive by selling your catch to fellow survivors, completing quests, and inching closer to safety. Always keep an eye on your ship’s cargo hold—beware, as creatures within might devour each other! Enhance your ship and craft specialized equipment to delve into hidden depths and uncover secret locations. Face mutated creatures and unravel sinister mysteries lurking in the deep and within abandoned structures, particularly at night. Be cautious of radiation, as the dangers in this world are ever-present."
