December 2025 marks two decades of Like a Dragon! Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio is launching the festivities with a unique fan-voting project. Cast your vote for your favorite in-game item to be transformed into real-world merchandise!

Choose from over 100 items, including everything from lingerie and incense to mahjong tiles, karaoke microphones, luxury lighters, 20th-anniversary sake, themed pillows, Kiryu's iconic dragon mask, and many more pieces reflecting the series' rich history. The winning item, as announced on the RGG voting website, will be made into a real product within the next two years.

Voting opened February 8, 2025, and runs until March 21, 2025. You can vote once daily. Following the voting period, a separate survey will determine the winning item's final design.

Could More Yakuza Remakes Be on the Horizon for the 20th Anniversary?

RGG Studio first hinted at their 20th-anniversary plans in a December 8, 2024, Twitter (X) post commemorating their 19th anniversary. Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed gratitude to fans and outlined plans for various events and announcements leading up to the milestone, including the merchandise voting project.

Kicking off the celebrations, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches February 20, 2025. While further details on additional anniversary events and games remain unannounced since the initial video, the studio's 10th-anniversary celebrations (which resulted in Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami remakes) offer a promising precedent for fans eagerly anticipating what’s in store.

Smooth Sailing for Most Gaming PCs

RGG Studio announced the PC requirements for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii via Twitter (X) on February 10, 2025. The recommended graphics card, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, ensures compatibility with most modern gaming systems.

Given the game's release on previous-generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), the PC specifications are easily attainable. RGG Studio also confirmed Steam Deck verification.

SEGA recently released a story trailer on YouTube, showcasing Majima's high-seas adventure, narrated by the Pirate King Raymond Law (voiced by wrestling superstar Samoa Joe).
