Introducing Digimon Alysion: A New Mobile TCG in Development
Bandai Namco announced Digimon Alysion, an all-new mobile trading card game currently in development, during the DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream on March 20. Inspired by the popularity of mobile card games like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, Digimon aims to broaden its TCG player base by entering the mobile market.
Digimon Alysion is a free-to-play digital card game where players collect cards featuring various Digimon and characters from the franchise, build custom decks, and battle other players online. The game also promises an engaging story mode, offering additional content beyond standard and competitive gameplay.

Accompanying the announcement, Bandai released a trailer showcasing gameplay glimpses and introducing the all-female cast expected to appear in the story mode. New characters include Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside a new Digimon named Gemmon.
No official release date has been announced for Digimon Alysion. However, a closed beta test is planned, with further details to be shared soon.
More Details Uncovered for Digimon Story: Time Stranger

DIGIMON CON 2025 also provided new insights into Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara discussed the game's background, main characters, and special abilities of featured Digimon during the livestream.
Hara confirmed that players can choose one of three starter Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime: Patamon, Gomamon, or DemiDevimon. These popular Digimon were previously speculated as starter partners, as they appear prominently in the game's key art.
Additionally, Time Stranger will include over 450 Digimon—the largest roster in the series to date. The new trailer showcased several fan favorites, including Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon. This surpasses the previous record set by Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory, which featured 330 Digimon.

Hara also introduced the game's storyline and protagonists. Players can choose between two main characters: Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, who are agents of ADAMAS—an organization dedicated to investigating threats affecting both humans and Digimon. Another key character is Inori Misono, the main heroine, accompanied by her partner Aegiomon. As the title suggests, time travel is a central theme, with the protagonist journeying through different timelines.
Other highlights from the event included a 25th-anniversary PV for the Digimon anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon TCG, and an upcoming anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, scheduled to premiere in October 2025. With exciting developments on the horizon, Digimon fans have much to look forward to this year.
