Destiny 2 Reveals Horror Themed Armor Sets for Festival of the Lost 2025

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a chilling choice in the upcoming Festival of the Lost 2025 event. Bungie is offering a vote between two themed armor sets: Slashers and Spectres, each inspired by iconic horror figures. This year's spooky offerings include designs reminiscent of Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, the Babadook, La Llorona, and even Slenderman.

The announcement, however, comes amidst a backdrop of growing community frustration. Episode Revenant, the current season, has been plagued by bugs and performance issues, leading to declining player numbers and engagement. While many fixes have been implemented, the negative sentiment persists. The reveal of Festival of the Lost armor, ten months in advance, has been met with some surprise and a desire for Bungie to address the game's current challenges more directly.

The Slashers set features Titan armor inspired by Jason, Hunter armor reminiscent of Ghostface, and a Warlock Scarecrow design. The Spectres set offers a Babadook-inspired Titan set, La Llorona-themed Hunter armor, and a highly anticipated Slenderman Warlock set. Players will vote to determine which set becomes available in October. Additionally, Bungie confirmed the return of the 2024 Festival of the Lost Wizard armor during Episode Heresy.

While the new armor designs have generated excitement, many players feel the focus on a distant event overshadows the pressing need for improvements to the game's current state. The combination of bugs, declining player base, and the relatively distant timing of the announcement has created a mixed reaction within the Destiny 2 community.
