Some quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* require a trip to Kuttenberg before they become available. However, reaching Kuttenberg unlocks inter-region travel, opening up a world of new adventures. Here's how to tackle the "Under the Straw Hat" quest.
Before embarking on "Under the Straw Hat," you must first begin "In Vino Veritas." This side quest unfolds in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, seek out Casper Rudolf, who's offering free wine samples on the city's west side. He needs your help gathering information to improve his winemaking.
You can either impress Havel directly with your wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and enhance your expertise. If choosing the direct approach with Havel, ensure you're suitably attired (clean clothes are key). When conversing with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" for the correct information. Return this intel to Casper.
Accessing the Vineyard
Casper's next request involves infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to uncover details about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by sticking to the main road. Speak with the recruiter at the vineyard entrance; this initiates the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, past a guard, until you reach Jerome. Inform him of your assignment.
Jerome will provide details about working at the vineyard.
Working the Vineyard
Unfortunately, your vineyard duties commence the following day. Rest at an inn and return to the vineyard in the morning. To earn wages, relocate sacks and harvest thistles. Alternatively, you can bypass the work and proceed directly to the secret incense, located in the wine cellar (downstairs in the main building). Access requires either lockpicks or stealing Jerome's keys (beware of the consequences of getting caught!).
Retrieve the Sulphur Wicks from the cellar chest. This completes the main objective, though collecting seedlings for Casper as a secondary objective increases your reward. These seedlings are found near the main building's entrance; however, this is trespassing, so act quickly.
If you chose to complete your work tasks, collect your pay from Jerome at the day's end. Regardless, return to Casper with the wicks (and seedlings, if collected) to complete "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas." Now, you can move on to quests like "Master Schindel's Toys."
