Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous co-leadership structure. This follows the retirement of Jim Ryan last year, which led to a split leadership role between Nishino and Hermen Hulst.

Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.

The press release highlights Nishino's expanded responsibilities, now encompassing all SIE operations and the platform business group. Hermen Hulst remains CEO of PlayStation Studios. Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, expressed his honor in leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and expanding the PlayStation community through IP expansion. He acknowledged Hulst's contributions and expressed gratitude to the PlayStation community for their ongoing support.
