Call of Duty: Stealth Tech Revival in Modern Warfare II

Authore: BenjaminUpdate:Jan 19,2025

The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can leverage existing resources to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.

Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Following the Season 01 update to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens in Black Ops 6. These were quickly used to boost XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a November 15th update addressed a bug that allowed these tokens to be activated within the Black Ops 6 interface, as noted in the Call of Duty Blog.

These Legacy XP Tokens are unused XP tokens carried over from previous CoD titles, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone, accessible through the COD HQ app. These tokens were earned through various means in those games, including DMZ Missions, Battle Pass Tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. While usable in Warzone, their use in Black Ops 6 presented a unique challenge.

Using Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Initially, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily removed. However, a workaround enabled players to utilize these tokens to increase XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression.

The workaround involved activating the Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone. Upon returning to Black Ops 6, the token and its timer would appear in the game's UI. While requiring switching between games and featuring a real-time countdown timer, this method provided a helpful boost to leveling up in Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
