Maximize Your Pokémon TCG Pocket Experience: A Booster Pack Guide
At launch, Pokémon TCG Pocket offers three booster packs from the Genetic Apex set: Charizard, Mewtwo, and Pikachu. Each pack contains different cards, impacting deck-building strategies. This guide prioritizes which packs to open first for optimal results.
Which Booster Packs Should You Open First?
Undoubtedly, the Charizard pack offers the best initial value. It provides key cards for a high-damage Fire-type deck centered around Charizard Ex, including the exceptionally powerful Sabrina Supporter card. Additional valuable cards like Starmie Ex, Kangaskhan, and Greninja are also included, along with Erika and Blaine, crucial for Fire and Grass decks respectively.
Prioritizing Your Booster Packs:
Here's the recommended order for opening your packs:
- Charizard: This pack provides versatile, essential cards usable across various deck types.
- Mewtwo: Excellent for constructing a strong Psychic deck featuring Mewtwo Ex and the Gardevoir line.
- Pikachu: While currently a top meta deck, the Pikachu Ex deck's cards are highly specialized and may become less relevant with future updates (like the Promo Mankey).
While completing secret missions will eventually require opening all three packs, focusing on the Charizard pack first secures crucial, versatile cards. Use any remaining Pack Points to acquire missing pieces from other packs as needed.
