Assassin’s Creed Shadows has unveiled its exciting year 1 post-launch update roadmap, promising a wealth of new content and story developments for players to dive into over the coming months. Ubisoft, the game's developer, shared these plans on Twitter (X) on May 1, ensuring fans stay engaged long after the initial release.

Year 1 Post-Launch Roadmap

Since its launch over a month ago, Assassin’s Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) has captured the hearts of gamers worldwide. Ubisoft is committed to enhancing the gaming experience with a series of updates. One of the highlights of the roadmap is the introduction of new Story Drops. These are free content additions that will enrich the game with new quests, player abilities, allies, world activities, and deeper narratives for beloved characters. Each drop is designed to expand on the main storyline, offering fresh perspectives and adventures.

In addition to the free Story Drops, Ubisoft is gearing up for the release of their first expansion, The Claws of Awaji, slated for later this year. This DLC will transport players to the new region of Awaji Island, accessible after the base game's epilogue. Players can look forward to encountering new enemies, mastering new abilities for both protagonists, and wielding an exclusive new weapon for Naoe. The Claws of Awaji expansion is included free for those who pre-ordered AC Shadows, but will also be available for purchase to all other players.
