Big news for fans of the Now You See Me series: the third installment has been officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and a fourth film is already in development. This exciting announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. He also confirmed that Now You See Me 3 is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously planned.

Director Ruben Fleischer, who is steering the third film, has signed on to develop and direct Now You See Me 4. The franchise, known for its thrilling action and heist elements, has already amassed over $700 million at the global box office.

The first two films featured stars such as Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. Joining the ensemble for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t are new talents Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, who will portray the next generation of illusionists, alongside Rosamund Pike.

Fleischer, who previously worked with Eisenberg and Harrelson on his debut film Zombieland, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. His recent works include Uncharted, which grossed over $400 million worldwide, and Venom, which surpassed $850 million globally.

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will once again produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work on the third film, saying, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."

Fleischer echoed this excitement, stating, "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going."

IGN's reviews of the previous films were mixed. The original Now You See Me received a 6.3/10, with IGN noting that it "seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." Now You See Me 2 scored a 6.2/10, with the review stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."
