L'application Nintendo Switch Online bénéficie d'une mise à jour majeure

À quelques jours seulement du lancement de la Nintendo Switch 2 prévu le 5 juin, Nintendo a repensé son application Nintendo Switch Online, la rebaptisant Nintendo Switch App.

Ce changement marque un tournant majeur, d'autant que "Nintendo Switch Online" était depuis des années synonyme du service d'abonnement gaming de Nintendo. Ce service propose des fonctionnalités multijoueur en ligne ainsi qu'un accès à des titres classiques de Nintendo couvrant quatre décennies - incluant les consoles NES, SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, et bientôt les jeux GameCube avec l'arrivée de la Nintendo Switch 2.

La mise à jour 3.0.1 ne se limite pas à un simple changement de nom - elle intègre une interface repensée pour une meilleure ergonomie. L'application prend désormais en charge les consoles Nintendo Switch 2 et les invitations GameChat, ainsi que des fonctionnalités améliorées de gestion d'amis, notamment des notifications de statut en ligne.

Une amélioration particulièrement appréciable (du moins pour l'auteur de ces lignes) concerne la gestion des médias simplifiée - les joueurs peuvent désormais télécharger directement leurs captures d'écran et vidéos via l'application.
