Valve's Deadlock, un jeu de tir MOBA très attendu, figure régulièrement en tête des jeux les plus souhaités sur Steam depuis son lancement mi-2024. La récente mise à jour « 24/10/2024 » constitue une étape majeure, introduisant six héros jouables, actuellement disponibles uniquement en mode Hero Sandbox.

Ces nouveaux héros – Calico, Fathom (anciennement Slork), Holliday (également appelé Astro dans certaines descriptions de compétences), Magician, Viper et Wrecker – ne sont pas encore présentés dans les matchs PvP occasionnels ou classés. Pendant que leurs capacités sont mises en œuvre, certaines compétences sont des espaces réservés temporaires, utilisant les capacités des héros existantes comme remplaçants.
