Director Ji-Won Choi recently shared exciting news for fans of the steampunk Soulslike game, Lies of P, revealing upcoming DLC and a sequel in a heartfelt message. The anniversary letter expresses gratitude to fans and the development team, highlighting the dedication behind the upcoming expansion.

Celebrating Lies of P's First Anniversary

A year after Lies of P's release, developer NEOWIZ shared Choi's letter, thanking players for their support. The letter details the team's hard work on the DLC amidst Korea's summer heat, emphasizing that fan enthusiasm fuels their progress. The DLC promises to build upon the original game's strengths while addressing previously reported issues. Choi stated their goal is to “do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow.” He also thanked Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.

DLC Teaser: Snowy Outpost and New Soundtrack

The letter includes a significant reveal: concept art and a new song from the DLC soundtrack. The artwork depicts P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse, hinting at a new, perilous chapter. While the "new" song, "Lisrim," by onoken was actually composed in 2022, NEOWIZ owns the rights to both this track and a similar, slower version featured in the letter. A music video accompanying the song shows a clockwork-weapon-wielding character rescuing a girl on Victorian rooftops, reflecting the game's atmosphere.

DLC Release Date and Future Plans

While a precise release date hasn't been announced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 earnings report suggests a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside four other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Previous teases, including an eight-minute video from last November, showcased early concept art depicting an industrial facility and a shipwreck, further hinting at the DLC's scope.
