Beta Test Feedback
Bandai Namco's official announcement on Twitter (X) confirmed the 2025 release, thanking beta testers for their valuable feedback. The developers emphasized that this input will enhance the game's entertainment value.
Developed by Ganbarion (known for One Piece game adaptations), Dragon Ball Project: Multi lets players control iconic characters like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and Frieza. Character strength increases throughout matches, allowing for impactful boss battles and player eliminations. Extensive customization options, including skins and animations, are also planned.
The MOBA genre is a new direction for the Dragon Ball franchise, which is typically associated with fighting games like the upcoming DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO from Spike Chunsoft. While the beta test received largely positive feedback, some concerns were raised.
Reddit users offered mixed opinions. One player described it as a simple, short MOBA similar to Pokémon Unite, while praising its enjoyable gameplay. However, another player criticized the in-game currency system, claiming that the requirement for a certain "store level" through in-app purchases creates excessive grinding and encourages spending. Despite this, other players expressed overall positive sentiments.
