The previously limited-time Summer Event is now a permanent feature, togglable at will. Other updates include quality-of-life improvements, enhanced map markers, a new "Ammo Package" item for instant ammo replenishment, and more. However, the most discussed change involves updated physics, particularly their effect on the character Eve's appearance.
As the Stellar Blade team notes, the update results in more pronounced animation in Eve's physique. The difference is noticeable, with the updated physics creating a more dynamic visual effect.
Shift Up has consistently embraced a certain aesthetic for Eve's character design; this update simply refines that presentation. The updated physics also affect other elements, such as equipment movement in windy conditions, resulting in a more realistic visual experience, described by some fans as "real-time CG."
