Nintendo prudent sur les ventes de la Switch 2 face aux risques tarifaires

Nintendo a présenté ce que les analystes décrivent comme une estimation de ventes "conservatrice" pour sa prochaine console Switch 2, citant les incertitudes tarifaires persistantes.

Dans son dernier rapport financier, Nintendo prévoit de vendre 15 millions d'unités de Switch 2 et 45 millions de jeux lors de l'exercice se terminant le 31 mars 2026. La nouvelle console sortira le 5 juin.

L'entreprise a déclaré que ses projections prennent en compte les taux tarifaires américains en vigueur depuis le 10 avril, mais a reconnu que des fluctuations potentielles pourraient impacter les résultats. "Nous surveillerons de près les conditions du marché et ajusterons en conséquence", a ajouté Nintendo.

PlayDaniel Ahmad, directeur de la recherche et des insights chez Niko Partners, a qualifié la prévision de 15 millions d'unités de "prudente", tweetant que Nintendo semble "prendre en compte l'imprévisibilité des tarifs, les variables de prix et les défis de production malgré des tendances de précommandes solides".

Ahmad a noté que Nintendo pourrait réviser ses projections à la hausse si les tarifs diminuent, mais a averti : "Les facteurs économiques actuels créent des conditions de lancement difficiles, aggravées par de potentielles hausses tarifaires."

Il est important de reconnaître qu'atteindre les 15 millions d'unités ferait de la Switch 2 l'un des lancements de consoles les plus réussis de l'histoire, surpassant les ventes de première année de la Switch originale à 14,87 millions.
