Hideo Kojima, le visionnaire derrière la série Metal Gear, a récemment partagé l'histoire étonnamment rapide de la façon dont Norman Reedus, star de The Walking Dead, a rejoint le casting de Death Stranding. Bien que le jeu soit dans ses stades de développement naissants, Reedus a facilement accepté le terrain de Kojima.

Death Stranding, un titre post-apocalyptique unique, est devenu inattendu un succès critique et commercial. La représentation de Norman Reedus de Sam Porter Bridges, un courrier traversant des paysages perfides remplis de BTS et de mules, a été essentiel à l'attrait du jeu. Sa performance, aux côtés d'autres acteurs hollywoodiens, a contribué de manière significative au récit captivant du jeu, solidant son statut de phénomène à combustion lente.

Avec Death Stranding 2 maintenant en production et Reedus Returning, Kojima a révélé l'histoire en coulisses. Il a raconté en lançant le jeu à Reedus lors d'un dîner de sushi, où Reedus a instantanément accepté, même sans script terminé. Remarquablement, dans un mois, Reedus était dans le studio pour la capture de mouvement, contribuant probablement à la bande-annonce emblématique de la mort E3 2016 - les débuts du jeu en tant que premier projet indépendant de Kojima Productions.

Le post de Kojima a également mis en évidence la position précaire de lui-même et de son studio à l'époque. Ayant récemment établi Kojima Productions après son départ de Konami, il n'avait essentiellement "rien" lorsqu'il a approché Reedus. Leur connexion initiale provenait du projet Silent Hills annulé, qui comprenait Reedus et Guillermo del Toro. Bien que les collines silencieuses ne se sont matérialisées que le tristement célèbre P.T. Demo, cette collaboration a ouvert la voie à l'échange de partenariat éventuel.

The Red Bull Arena has officially unveiled a new urban sports experience featuring BMX, skateboarding, and parkour! Located in the heart of New York City, the arena’s newly transformed outdoor plaza now serves as a dynamic, multi-use hub for action sports enthusiasts and fans alike.
The space includes:

BMX Half-Pipe & Features: A state-of-the-art concrete ramp system with rails, tabletops, and rails designed for jumps, grinds, and technical tricks.
Skate Plaza: A custom-built skate bowl and street course with ledges, rails, and transitions, perfect for both beginners and pros.
Parkour Training Zone: An elevated obstacle course with walls, boxes, and rails that challenge agility, strength, and creativity—ideal for parkour athletes and urban movement practitioners.

The unveiling was celebrated with a live event featuring top athletes from each discipline, including world-class BMX riders, pro skaters, and parkour performers. Red Bull also announced a series of monthly competitions, youth clinics, and community workshops to encourage participation and skill development.
“Red Bull Arena has always been about pushing limits—now we’re bringing that energy to the streets and the concrete,” said a Red Bull spokesperson. “This space isn’t just for elite athletes. It’s for anyone who wants to ride, roll, or leap into the next level.”
The BMX, skate, and parkour zone is open to the public and free to access, with free gear check-ins and safety zones provided. It’s a bold new chapter in Red Bull’s mission to inspire and empower urban athletes worldwide.
