Half-Life 2, le tireur emblématique de Valve sorti en 2004, reste l'un des jeux les plus influents de l'histoire. Même après près de deux décennies, l'enthousiasme des fans et des modders maintient le jeu en vie, en le réinvenant avec la technologie d'aujourd'hui.

HL2 RTX représente une version graphiquement améliorée qui vise à élever le classique dans le domaine de la technologie moderne. Ce projet ambitieux est dirigé par Orbifold Studios, une équipe de modding dédiée tirant parti du traçage des rayons, des textures améliorées et des technologies avancées NVIDIA telles que DLSS 4 et RTX volumétriques.

Les mises à niveau visuelles sont tout simplement remarquables: les textures offrent une augmentation de 8 fois en détail, et des éléments comme le costume de Gordon Freeman présentent 20 fois plus de complexité géométrique. Le réalisme de l'éclairage, des réflexions et des ombres présente une nouvelle couche de profondeur à l'expérience de gameplay.

Prévu le 18 mars, la démo transportera les joueurs dans les paramètres atmosphériques de Ravenholm et Nova Prospekt, soulignant comment la technologie de pointe respire une nouvelle vie dans ces emplacements emblématiques. La demi-vie 2 RTX transcende un simple remake; Il s'agit d'un hommage sincère à un jeu qui a révolutionné l'industrie.
