Guy Ritchie devrait diriger la suite du remake du Road House d'Amazon MGM, Jake Gyllenhaal reprenant son rôle d'ancien combattant de l'UFC devenu videur Elwood Dalton, selon Variety. La suite a été confirmée en mai de l'année précédente, peu de temps après la sortie réussie en mars 2024 du remake, qui a recueilli plus de 50 millions de vues au cours de ses deux premiers week-ends sur Prime. Cela l'a fait les débuts de films le plus regardés par Amazon MGM Studios à l'époque.

Le Road House d'origine 2024 a été réalisé par Doug Liman, connu pour des films comme The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow et Swingers. Cependant, Liman a exprimé son mécontentement à l'égard de la sortie en streaming du film, déclarant: "Mon numéro sur Road House est que nous avons fait le film pour MGM dans les salles, tout le monde était payé comme s'il allait être dans les salles, puis Amazon l'a changé sur nous et personne n'a été rémunéré. Les détails sur Road House 2 sont limités, mais il est écrit par Will Beall, l'écrivain derrière Gangster Squad, Bad Boys: Ride or Die et Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
