Clash of Clans is set to ditch Troop Training times in major overhaul

Clash of Clans is about to undergo a massive transformation: troop training times are being completely eliminated! Prepare for near-instant army deployment and lightning-fast battles. However, this change means it's now or never for your Training Potions and Treats—use them before they're gone! These items will soon be removed from in-app purchases and chest rewards, although you can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time. After the month is over, any remaining potions and treats will be automatically converted to Gems.

While Clash of Clans holds a special place in mobile gaming history, Supercell acknowledges its age and has been steadily modernizing the game. This removal of training times is arguably the most significant update yet, following the elimination of training costs in 2022.

To help players adapt to this instant-army era, Supercell is introducing "Match Anytime." This new feature lets you attack a saved version of another player's base if no live opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards, but the defending player won't lose anything. This mechanic is already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, but now it's becoming standard across the game.
